Prostate Cancer

According to the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation of Canada, the incidence of prostate cancer in men is nearly comparable to the level of breast cancer in women. 1 in 7 Canadian men will develop the disease, and 1 in 26 will die from it. So, PSA blood tests and rectal exams from doctors are crucial to detecting the disease.

Although the cause of prostate cancer is not known, many factors appear to be involved, including diet. One factor in helping to avoid prostate cancer is frequent ejaculation. Studies have shown that men who masturbate or have sex regularly have lower rates of prostate cancer. The thinking is that it clears carcinogens out of the prostate.
