Not too long, too thick...

I've been looking through the questions, and I can't find one that answers my problem.
My boyfriend is very well endowed, and it is painful every time we have sex. Both during, and after. I've found answers to the big penis dilema saying to do use cock rings and positions to limit how much he can go in...but length is not the problem, thickness is. We use a lot of lube, and this sometimes help for a little while, but even then the only position we can do is missionary. Anything else hurts too much.
I can handle a certain amount of pain, but it is frustrating, and I know it really upsets my boyfriend. Is there anything else we can do to fix the problem? My girlfriends tell me I'll get used to his size, but it's been over a month now, and it hasn't gotten any easier.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Well, I can tell you that a cock ring is not going to help at all. In fact, I can't think of anything that would. You are doing everything right - looking for different positions and using lots of lube. Your friends are correct that your vagina will stretch eventually, but do you want to tolerate the pain until that happens? Tough call. When the problem is length, you can put a 'marker' ring on the penis that will prevent deeper entry; but with width, there's nothing you can do about it. Sorry to be of no help.Randy
