RE: Vaginal OrgasmPosted by A. on June 10, 2008 at 06:58:11:
Randy,
I don't expect this to be posted because there has already been a response to this, however I'm curious enough to ask. When you say that 70-80% of females are unable to achieve an orgasm through intercourse, do you mean biologically unable or just have trouble reaching that point? My girlfriend has never been able to reach orgasm through intercourse either, but she is trying to "train" herself through masturbation so that when it comes to sex she might possibly know what works better. Is this wasted effort on her part? or will she be able to reach orgasm with some practice? Thanks

No, your girlfriend is NOT wasting her time. It's very important that we all learn our individual erotic "buttons" because it helps to maximize our sexual skills and pleasure. According to Sue, 70% of women achieve orgasm only through clitoral stimulation. I think that figure is from Masters and Johnson. Since every body is built differently, some women who generally have clitoral orgasms will, once in awhile, have a vaginal one. The thing is, what does it matter where an orgasm originates? They are great to have no matter what triggers them and we should enjoy them for what they are.
