Episode #146 - May 6, 2007
What Men Really Want
What do men really want?
On Sunday, May 6, Sue would only accept calls from men, the first time we had ever done such a thing. Her's was the only female voice in a sea of testosterone!
Luckily, Sue had two fabulous - and cute - guests along for the ride.
George Stroumboulopoulos is the host of "The Hour", Canada's only late night talk show. Now in its third season, the program has won two Gemini Awards - Canada's equivalent to an Emmy Award - one for best talk series in Canada, the other for best host in a talk program or series. George has a sharp wit and a clever mind. Drawing on personal experience and observation of his male cronies, he offered insightful views on what men really want out of love and life.
To our surprise - and delight - male callers swamped the phone lines! Maybe they were just waiting for a chance to sound off and they weren't going to miss this opportunity.
And what did we discover? Men basically want what women want - fidelity, romance, support - but they just don't talk about it. Oh, ya - and sex.
Take a look at the pre-show survey below to see what is really important to men!
(Keith and George "bone-up" on the topic
before the live broadcast.)

It's a question we often hear from female callers who are baffled by their male partner's motives. Men themselves are wondering where they stand. The playing field has changed since the 60's as women have defined new roles for themselves in our culture. Traditional male role models are shifting as well. The strong, silent type has given way to the silent, sensitive type - silence being the consistent characteristic. And that's the problem - men won't talk. This was their chance.
